Richard Fishwick, hailing from the Hudson Valley Region of New York, has been a steadfast participant in Special Olympics New York for over 13 years. Throughout his athletic journey, Richard has showcased his talents in various sports, including basketball, softball, bowling, snowshoeing and track & field. His commitment to these disciplines reflects not only his athletic prowess but also his dedication to personal growth and community involvement.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Richard Fishwick has been an influential leader within the Special Olympics community. He has served on the Statewide Athlete Leadership Council, where he has been recognized for leading by example and inspiring his peers. His leadership extends to his local community, where he actively engages with fellow athletes and contributes to the organization’s mission along with serving his local regional Athlete Leadership Council.
