Capital Region Summer Classic Seeks Volunteers – at Shenendehowa High School, Sunday,  April 26th

The Capital Region Summer Classic is in need of volunteers at Shenendehowa High School on Sunday,  April 26th.
We are looking for volunteers to help with all available shifts including basketball team, basketball skills, set up, and registration. Ideally volunteers who register for basketball team have some understanding/familiarity with the game of basketball. Below are the link, general instructions to sign up, as well as the schedule for the day.
 
Event Schedule
7:00 am- 8:00 am Set Up (Staff and Registered Set Up Volunteers)
8:00 am – 9:00 am Arrival/Registration for Athletes and Volunteers
8:00 am – 10:00 am Performance Stations/Healthy Athletes
9:20 am – 9:45 am Opening Ceremonies
10:00 am Basketball Team and Tennis Competitions Begin
11:00 am Basketball Skills and Swimming Competitions Begin
Awards to follow each competition at designated site
4:00 pm Departure
How to Register
  1. Head to our Online Volunteer Portal
  2. Create an Account/ Log In
    1. You will be asked to verify your email and then answer a few questions about yourself. (This is a one-time process; if you volunteer with us in the future, you will simply just need to log in!)
  3. Age 13-17?
    1. You will be asked to have a parent/guardian sign our Under 18 form. Click on the “My Checklist” button to complete this.
  4. Volunteer Zone
    1. Welcome! Click on the “Sign up for an Event” button. Choose the event “2026 CDR Summer Classic” then select your desired volunteer shift (Set Up/Registration, Basketball Team Shift 1 and/or 2, etc.). Setup/Registration can be selected alongside any of the sports volunteer shifts if interested. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for both basketball shifts as well.
From there, you should receive a confirmation that you signed up for the event. More information and final details will be provided in an email as we get closer to the event.
