Helen Squillace

 “Serving on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics New York has been a positive and rewarding experience for me. It has been a privilege for me to connect our work on the SONY Board to my professional career in K-12 Education, by helping to build our Unified Sports programs in schools. Watching the experiences of both our athletes and their partners as they engage in sports together has been amazing!”

Helen Squillace is Principal of Red Mill Elementary School in East Greenbush Central School District. Prior to that she served for fifteen years as Director of Special Education and Pupil Services for the East Greenbush Central School District.

She received her Master of Science Degree from the College of St. Rose and her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Oswego
