Special Olympics New York has selected 19 athletes, unified partners and coaches to join Special Olympics USA, the national team that will compete at World Games in June 2023.

Special Olympics New York has selected 19 athletes, unified partners and coaches to join Special Olympics USA, the national team that will compete at World Games in June 2023.
Special Olympics USA is comprised of more than 200 athletes, coaches and staff from Special Olympics chapters across the country. The national team will compete in 14 sports, and will include 8 Unified Sports® teams, where people with and without intellectual disabilities compete together as teammates.
In the US, coverage begins on June 17 with the Opening Ceremony on ABC Network from 3-6pm ET, and continues daily with 400+ hours of competition streaming on ESPN+ and ESPN3 throughout the Games.
On July 2nd, the “Best of Special Olympics World Games” two-hour show will air on ABC at 1pm ET. In addition, ABC’s Good Morning America will be live from 7am ET on June 16 from the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, where host Robin Roberts will be joined by some surprise guests!
