Unified Champion Schools Youth Activation Summit – Genesee Region (Section V Athletics)

When? Friday January 27th, 2023
What? The annual Section V Youth Activation Summit will return IN-PERSON in 2023! This event offers students in the YAC or Unified Club an opportunity to connect with their peers, share best practices and explore what it means to be a leader of inclusion within their local and neighboring school communities.
REGISTER HERE by Monday, January 9th at 12pm.
All schools attending will need to submit a YAC Roster (sent to the individual who completed the registration form) with participating students before Friday, January 13th.
Topics covered will include: Building a Unified Leadership Team, National Banner Standards of Unified Champion Schools, Whole School Engagement Events, Fans in the Stands, New to Unified (Freshman and Sophomores) and Post-High School Plans (Juniors and Seniors), among others.
The YAC summit is primarily student-led. We are looking for presentations that highlight the hard work that unified leaders are doing to build an inclusive community in their districts. If your YAC is interested in presenting, please complete this Presentation Proposal Application by Monday, January 9th at 12pm.
